Thiam Marais is a partner at Stonehage Fleming and the Head of the Family Office division in Stellenbosch. He serves our Cape Town and Stellenbosch offices where he acts as an advisor to a number of families.
Thiam joined Stonehage Fleming in 2019 from a medium sized law firm where he practised as an attorney for 8 years. Thiam is a MBA graduate from the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business and holds a B.Com (Law) degree and LLB from the University of Stellenbosch. He also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning and a Postgraduate Diploma in Tax law at the University of Stellenbosch.
