Associate Director – Internal Audit
Lylanie is an Associate Director within the Internal Audit Department. She is responsible for evaluating the organisations risk management, governance and control processes. Additionally providing independent assessments of controls to identify weaknesses, ensuring compliance with regulations, and evaluates business operations to improve efficiency.
She joined the Group in 2020, as Risk and Compliance Officer for Investment Management and Family Office Services and headed up the Risk and Compliance department in Mauritius prior to joining the Group Management Team in May 2025. Prior to this Lylanie was the founder of Blue Elle (Pty) Limited, where she provided legal and compliance consultancy services to independent financial businesses. Before this, she was working as a Compliance Officer at Masthead (Pty) Limited, where she specialised in monitoring AML/CFT risk, developing and delivering unique compliance risk management and business intelligence solutions. Lylanie started her compliance career, after she left the legal practice in 2011.
Lylanie holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of South Africa, a Management Development Programme for Compliance Officers Certificate (UNISA) and an International Advanced Certificate in Anti Money Laundering (ICA). She is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (UK) and an Affiliate of the Compliance Institute of Southern Africa.
