Chiara Deceglie
Director - Legal & Governance, Luxembourg
Chiara is a Director in our Corporate & Fund Services division, responsible for legal and governance in our Luxembourg office. She has 22 years’ experience in legal practice, including 10 years spent at the Luxembourg bar, covering financial and corporate matters, securities law, insolvency, corporate governance and compliance.
Prior to joining the Stonehage Fleming Group in 2022, Chiara was at Harneys Westwood & Reigels S.à. r.l.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg (South Africa). Chiara is a former South African attorney and notary (1991) having practised for 10 years as a litigation partner in an established South African law firm. She is a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales (2009). Additionally, Chiara is a member of STEP, the Luxembourg Institute of Directors (ILA), the Luxembourg Banking and Financial Law Association (ALJB) and the Association of Luxembourg Compliance Officers (ALCO).
