John Ross-Munro

John is Partner of the Stonehage Fleming Group and a Solicitor admitted in England and Wales. He specialises in Private Wealth, Family Office and Private Investment Funds legal work. For clients, John acts as the Head of an embedded Single Family Office. As part of this role, he is the General Counsel and Director for a group of private family investment vehicles focused on a wide range of investments, including hedge funds and alternative investments.
John joined the Stonehage Fleming Group from the Maitland Group, where he re-joined in 2014, after practicing law at Maitland’s London office much earlier in his career. Prior to this John was a tax and funds partner at US law firm Greenberg Traurig’s London office.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Cape Town. John also has a Certificate in Advanced Securities Law and is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales. In addition, he is a Registered Legal Practitioner in the Isle of Man and an Attorney in South Africa (non-practicing).
