It's always a really enjoyable part of our calendar,

the Family Investment Conference.

The challenge I think, is always to get the right balance

between investment focused matters

and broader matters of relevance

to families and wealth creators.

And we're incredibly fortunate to have Lord Kim Derek,

British Ambassador to Washington in 2016. I've

Been talking about what the American election outcome

means for the UK and for the world.

We had two very specific sessions on aspects

of our investment portfolios,

which we think are genuine differentiators.

We discussed many of the generalizations

and criticisms that are often associated

with investing in private equity.

We talked about the global poly crisis,

which is when different crises all around the world interact

with each other in a sort of loop effect.

Last but not least, Matthew Fleming was talking

with Jessica Maglie

of Darlington Associates about the importance

of communication and a number of factors that improve

family dynamics. As

A true family office, we put the family at the heart

of our business model, not their assets.

Creating a community of really high quality people

who support families as a family,

not just their wealth is critical to what we do.

Really, really varied full program. We had a full house.

My feeling was that we pleased the majority of the audience.
