A culture that aligns history with shaping the future of families –10 years since the merger of Stonehage and Fleming Family & Partners
Stonehage Fleming celebrated its 10th anniversary with a Shaken not Stirred press event, held at the London office at 6 St James’s Square this week. The evening marked a decade since the landmark merger of Stonehage and Fleming Family & Partners in 2014, bringing together South African industrialism and British heritage.
Hosted by Executive Chairman of the Stonehage Fleming Group, Giuseppe Ciucci, the event was attended by members of the senior leadership team and staff. Among the speakers was Matthew Fleming, Head of Family Succession & Governance, a 5th generation Fleming family member, and great-nephew of Ian Fleming, the renowned author of the James Bond novels. Reflecting on the firm’s journey and vision, Matthew said: “Fleming Family and Partners were keen on the journey, while Stonehage Partners were very focused on the destination, which later amalgamated into a culture that aligns the history of the family while shaping the future of many other families as Stonehage Fleming.”
The merger was a defining moment in the firm’s history, creating a unified platform to support families and wealth creators in navigating increasingly complex global challenges. Over the last decade, Stonehage Fleming has cemented its role as a leader in total wealth management, offering purpose, strategy, and stewardship of capital across generations and geographies.
This milestone anniversary serves as a testament to the firm’s achievements and its unwavering commitment to shaping the future of wealth management.
