Meet the Stonehage Fleming XV - Dame Kate Bingham

Kate has advised on major technology, infrastructure, outsourcing, and technology projects for over 25 years and,. In 2020, was appointed chair of the UK Vaccine Taskforce in which position she was highly praised for the successful roll out of the Covid vaccine programme.
BEST PIECE OF ADVICE?
“Always say yes.”
What I mean by that is you should never turn down the opportunity to explore new ideas or try out new experiences. There is huge value in doing new things and then doing them without being afraid to fail. This is a massive piece of advice because it teaches you to be your own person, stand up for yourself and do your own thing.
WHAT DOES BEING SELECTED FOR THE SFXV MEAN TO YOU?
For me it is incredibly important to call out women in business and science. As a society, we are used to hearing about famous women – celebrities and popstars and ‘household names’ - but you very rarely see people with
scientific or business backgrounds. I think giving a profile to women from these sectors has real value and it is important for the younger generation, both girls and boys, to see women truly succeeding as entrepreneurs,
CEOs, experts in their field.
